The Strivers Row is a creative arts company specializing in artist management, event production and content marketing. Founded by husband and wife, Marcus Johnson and Latoya Bennett-Johnson, they decided to use their combined experience of over 10 years in the marketing and entertainment industry, and passion for the arts to start the company. Founded in the the Fall of 2010, the company has represented poets who have performed on stages ranging from the NAACP Image Awards to Broadway’s Amsterdam theater, from The Sundance Film Festival to President Obama’s Evening of Music and Poetry at the White House. Individually, the poetry collective affectionately known as The Strivers Row Poets performed on four continents and as a collective, sold out a three day tour in the UK. Individual television/film appearances include HBO’s Brave New Voices, Seasons 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Verses and Flow, ESPN’s 30 for 30, NAACP Image Awards and the critically acclaimed film, Gun Hill Road.
